The Gourd Place
It was 1976 when Priscilla Wilson first began experimenting with gourds and we began selling her wares at craft fairs. At that time we weren’t aware that any other gourd artists existed! Since then Priscilla has made decorative containers carved with wildflower designs, planters, rolling toys, calligraphy gourds, pyrography, ornaments, dolls, natural utensils, puzzles, drums, gourdhead masks, and just about anything else one can imagine.

Ledford Works
Meet Caleb in his Blacksmith Shop, which is located on his family farm, for the experience of a lifetime! This 4-hour class will take students through the knife-making process from start to finish. Beginning with a railroad spike until they have created their own functioning work of art. No prior experience is necessary… only a sense of adventure. Hickory Flat Pottery
Decorative, functional stoneware made by hand in the mountains of Northeast Georgia. The gallery connected to the pottery studio is located in a 120 year old farm house. Inside you will find potters working daily along with the work over ten artists which includes pottery, metal work, jewelry, wood and glass. My pottery is lead free, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe.

Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia
The Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia is a unique resource unlike any in the southeast. It showcases the handcraft skills of one of the South’s premier grassroots art forms, folk pottery. Some of the pieces in the museum’s collection, dating from the 1840s, stand 4 feet tall. All the work on display is awe-inspiring in its functionality and often reflects the humor of life.
